La Costa Brava

Spanish side: Costa Brava, unspoilt coast

The coastline of the Costa Brava extends more than 220 kilometres along the coast, from Portbou on the French border to Blanes.

To see, to do…

CADAQUES is a Spanish village surrounded by mountains, and beautiful beaches and coves where you can relax and swim. On the road you will pass exotic landscapes typical of this region. Cadaques has kept its original charm given by Salvador Dali, the great artist who left his imprint all over this place. His villa-museum is in Portlligat, north of Cadaquès. Many restaurants offer delicious tapas and traditional dishes. Enjoy your lunch or dinner by the sea in Cadaquès.

FIGUERAS, an excellent tourist destination. A traditional market every Thursday, beautiful pedestrian streets and the famous Salvador Dali theatre museum make this small Catalan town a must.

CAP DE CREUS NATURAL PARK, In the north of the Costa Brava you’ll find one of the natural wonders of the county of Girona, the Cap de Creus Natural Park. It contains a collection of beautiful spots that will leave a lasting impression on you. You’ll never forget the views of the wild coastline with its vertiginous cliffs and hidden coves, and the islets scattered all along. Neither will you forget the capriciously shaped rocks, sculpted by the wind and the erosion of the sea; with a little imagination you’ll be seeing lions, dragons, camels, eagles and other figures
